It all started in 2021, thanks to a mutual friend and family matchmaking. At the time, Anthony was living in Beaverton, Oregon, but making regular trips to Walla Walla—turns out, fate had him on the right road all along.

Our first date was at Hattaway’s on Alder, where Anthony confidently ordered the beef cheeks. They were, in fact, on the menu—but he quickly learned Meghan is very forward and made it clear that would be the only place he’d be getting any beef cheeks that night.

Even with that revelation, the date went better than either of us expected. As two people who prized independence and doing our own thing, we were surprised by how quickly we just didn’t want to be apart. Love showed up fast—and we knew it was real.

In May of 2024, Anthony proposed under a sky lit by the strongest geomagnetic storm in 500 years. The northern lights shimmered above us—unplanned, unexpected, and absolutely perfect. It felt like the universe had written it into our story all along.

Since then, we’ve kept doing what we love most: exploring new places, discovering unforgettable food, and laughing our way through life together. We share a deep love for our country, strong family values, and the kind of bond that holds steady through every high and low.
